NEPALGUNJ, July 5: There was an electric short-circuit at the counter of Buddha Air at the Nepalgunj Airport. The airport was spared major damage due to power outage. Along with Buddha Air’s counter, other airlines’ counters and airport offices were also connected.
It is said that wires of the counter caught fire due to a short circuit. According to eyewitnesses, the fire, however, did not spread further.
According to Binit Shah, chief of Buddha Air’s Nepalgunj office, the short circuit took place at around 6:45 AM on Tuesday. “There were problems with electric wires. There was a sudden short circuit and the wires caught fire, but a huge fire incident was averted,” he said to Nagarik.
