BAGLUNG, Jan 5: Forty-two schools have been closed in four VDCs in the district owing to a dispute over the sacking of a principal.

Teachers shut down the schools on Tuesday stating that the Management Committee of Uttarganga Higher Secondary School sacked Principal Dhan Bahadur Kunwar.

As a result, central-legal quarterly exams of 7,000 students has become uncertain.

Similarly, students have padlocked the Annapurna Higher Secondary School in Parbat protesting the hike in admission and tuition fees.
