The tourist has been identified as Christina who was abducted by a gang of five to six persons from a hotel in Mahendranagar. The gang abducted her on Friday evening and robbed her of 5,000 Indian rupees and a silver ring. She said the youths abducted her while she was celebrating Christmas with her husband at Miscall Hotel and kept her all night before releasing her at 5 a.m. Saturday.
She said she was abducted after her husband returned to Hotel Ananda where they were staying for the past one week because of the Kailali banda called by the Maoists.
