KATHMANDU, Dec 17: Minister for Home Affairs, Bal Krishna Khand has directed the bodies concerned to provide security to non-government organizations (NGO).
Addressing a program organized by the NGO Federation of Nepal in Kathmandu on Friday, Minister Khand directed the security agencies to provide necessary security to the non-government organizations involved in the country's development.
Minister Khand also mentioned that the government does not want to play a controlling or interfering role in any organization related to industry or business. He also applauded the NGOs for playing an effective role during the COVID-19 pandemic, flood and landslides and other disaster-stricken times. He also said that the government was ready to move ahead with the work of amending the law as per the needs of the non-government organizations.
Home Minister Khand said that the government would move ahead with the facilitation work as the country would develop and prosper with the wide participation of the people.
