KATHMANDU, Aug 18: The Ministry of Home Affairs' has put forth a proposal for the promotion of 12 Superintendents of Police (SP) within the Armed Police Force. If approved, these SPs will ascend to the rank of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP).
This step towards potential promotion was taken on Thursday, with the Promotion Recommendation Committee at the MoHA recommending the promotion of these 12 individuals from SP to SSP position.
18 SP recommended for promotion to SSP
The recommended officers include Rajesh Upreti, Gangaram Shrestha, Raviraj Karnajit, Bharat Khaniya, Netra Bahadur Karki, Ramesh Kumar Pandey, Bikas Ghimire, Tirtha Raj Paudel, Jahar Singh Budha Magar, Narendra Bam, Surya Bahadur Sen Oli, and Tej Prasad Pokharel.
They were all candidates of second basics of the APF. The first batch to join the Armed Police Force has already been DIGs.
For those who may have reservations about the promotion recommendations, a window of seven days is available to file any complaints. Following this, the Council of Ministers will make a final decision on the proposal after a week.
