KATHMANDU, July 10: As many as 118 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed during tests conducted at various 25 laboratories across the country in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Population said.
With new cases, Nepal's COVID-19 tally has risen to 16,649, spokesperson for the ministry Jageshwar Gautam said at a virtual media briefing on Friday afternoon.
"Out of 48,06 persons who underwent PCR tests at various labs in the past 24 hours, 118 persons tested positive for COVID-19," he said.
As many as 120 COVID-19 patients were discharged after recovery from various health facilities across the country in the past 24 hours, according to Gautam.
There are 86, 03 active coronavirus cases across the country, he said.
"The total number of COVID-19 patients to be discharged stands at 8,011 as of today," he added.
