Dragonair expands seat capacity<br/>Bright Dev Bank in Panauti

KATHMANDU, Dec 5: Dragonair has increased its passenger seat capacity from 158 to 300 seats over two years of its operation in Hong Kong-Kathmandu route. The Hong Kong-based international airlines launched its flight to Nepal from December 2, 2007. [break]



The airline is now flying five times a week in the sector, up from three flights a week two years ago.



Together with sister airline Cathay Pacific, Dragonair offers passengers traveling between Kathmandu and major world cities like New York, Tokyo and Sydney the shortest journey and hassle-free transit experience in the Hong Kong International Airport.



“As we celebrate this achievement, I, on behalf of the entire team, would like to extend my sincere thanks to our passengers for their continued support. We value your relationship with us and are committed to giving you the best in customer service,” Tom Wright, GM-India, Middle East, Africa & Pakistan of the airline, said in a press statement.



Established in 1985, the airline now operates a fleet of 14 A330-300s, six A321s and 10 A320s, providing passenger and cargo services. The airline´s network covers 29 destinations across the Asia-Pacific region, including 17 in mainland China.





Bright Dev Bank in Panauti



BANEPA, Dec 5: Bright Development Bank has formally launched its operation in Panauti of Kavre district. National Planning Commission Vice-chairman Dr Yubaraj Khatiwada inaugurated the bank on Friday.



Shyam Sundar Adhikari, chairman of the bank, said the bank was planning to open new branches in Banepa and Chitwan.



The bank has issued capital of Rs 140 million and paid-up capital of Rs 98 million. The bank is offering different saving schemes targeting women, farmers, children, retired employees and corporate houses.



The bank is planning to invest in agriculture, timber, hire purchase, dairy, fruits, foreign employment, small entrepreneurship and service sectors.





Emami´s offer on Fair and Handsome



KATHMANDU, Dec 5: Emami, a leading Indian FMCG company, has launched new offer to the customers of Fair and Handsome pack.

Emami has been producing this cream in collaboration with Activor Corp, USA, and its Peptide complex is patented in the USA.
