Donation demand almost on daily basis has panicked government agencies, said Chief District Officer of Banke Birendra Bahadur Baniya.
He said the local administration office has to spend Rs. 500-1,000 daily as various sister organizations of political parties come for donation.
The District Administration Office, District Forest Office, District Development Committee, District Agricultural Office, Sikta Irrigation Project, Nepalgunj Municipality are among two dozen government offices becoming the victims of donation terror.
On the other hand, underground armed groups have been giving a nightmare to businessmen demanding hefty sums in donations.
A businessman on the condition of anonymity said armed outfits threaten them to cough up donation.
The victims are reluctant to inform security agencies about the ordeal fearing action, he said.
