KATHMANDU, July 4: A study has suggested that the people who have received both doses of COVID-19 vaccines are 98 percent safe from the disease.
The study was conducted by government officials in India among police personnel of Panchwa of India. Those policemen had either received a single shot or both.
The study also found that a single dose can also provide safety up to 92 percent against COVID-19.
The vaccine is found more effective in preventing people from dying after being infected rather than preventing contraction.
Meanwhile, in Nepal 757,962 people have so far received both shots of the vaccines and 2,604,866 people have received only the first shot of the vaccines so far.
