As stated by COVID-19 focal person Dr Ramesh Prasad Upadyay, the increasing crowd of patients has caused serious problems in the process of treatment at the hospital. The health condition of many patients is deteriorating constantly, he added.

“The situation is out of our control,” Upadyay said. We have reached a state where none of our resources will be enough.” There are 50-60 patients who are being treated at the hospital who are in need of oxygen.

According to the hospital, they have not been able to provide oxygen to many of their patients. Most of them will not be able to get oxygen for a second time.

Deepak Rawal, the chairman of the Hospital Development Committee has appealed to the public for help through social media, stating that the condition of the hospital is getting scary.

So far, 13 patients have died at the hospital after the second wave of COVID-19 outbreak. The number of deaths increasing at an alarming rate has spread panic inside the hospital. Also, the ICU with ventilators have not come into operation due to the lack of physicians and anaesthetists in the hospital.
