11 injured in cooking gas explosion

RAUTAHAT, Nov 24: At least eleven people sustained injuries when a cooking gas cylinder exploded in Garuda Bazaar of Rautahat on Tuesday. Two among the injured are said to be in critical condition.

Raya Yadav, 65, and Shanti Devi Sah, 50, of Garuda Municipality-2, were badly injured in the incident. Sah has been taken to Bharatpur Hospital while Yadav is undergoing treatment in Birgunj, according to the police.

The remaining nine are undergoing treatment at a local health center, informed police Inspector Santu Lal Prashad Jaisawar. "We are investigating to ascertain the reason behind the explosion," Jaisawar added.
