Big names are included in the list with MPs like Priya Dutt and Akhilesh Yadav scheduled to visit Nepal. Priya Dutt is daughter of Bollywood actors late Sunil Dutt and Nargis. She is an Indian National Congress MP from Mumbai-North-Central constituency. Yadav, on the other hand, is the son of Mulayam Singh Yadav who is a very influential Indian politician of Uttar Pradesh state of India. He was the chief minister of UP and once the Defense Minister of India. Akhilesh Yadav won from Kannauj constituency from Samajwadi Party seat.
Other MPs include Kamlesh Paswan Bansgaon, Dr Sanjay Jaiswal Paschim, Neeraj Shekhar, Shruti Choudhry, Parayamparanbil Kuttappan Biju and Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo. Likewise, other MPs are Takam Sanjoy, OT Lepcha and Pradeep Majhi.
A letter regarding their visit has been sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kathmandu through the Indian embassy in Nepal, sources said. The MPs during their visit will meet various political leaders of Nepal.
Earlier, a similar visit was made by young Constituent Assembly members of Nepal to India when Indian government hosted 11 CA members in November last year.
The visit is officially said to be in line with the understanding reached between Nepal and India during former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal´s India visit when the two sides agreed to encourage exchange visit of parliamentarians. India and Nepal had also agreed to form a “youth parliamentary forum”.
