MORANG, April 15: A woman died while undergoing treatment for COVID-19 at Koshi Hospital in Biratnagar on Thursday. A 46-year-old woman from Biratnagar, who was infected with the coronavirus, died at 4AM this morning, according to the hospital.
The woman tested positive for COVID-19 at Nobel Hospital and was referred to Koshi Hospital for further treatment. Apollo Bhagat, coordinator of Koshi Hospital, informed that the woman was referred by Nobel Hospital on Wednesday after her test result confirmed that she was infected with coronavirus. “Her condition was serious when she arrived here,” he said.
According to the hospital, the husband of the deceased has also been diagnosed with coronavirus and is undergoing treatment at Koshi Hospital.
In Province 1, 20 people with COVID-19 infections were added on Wednesday. With this, the number of active cases has reached 179 in Province 1.
