SAARC cabinet secys meet in Delhi from Friday

KATHMANDU, Nov 12: The first-ever meeting of cabinet secretaries of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) is being held in New Delhi from Friday to discuss administration reforms and service delivery in the region.



Chief Secretary Madhav Ghimire left Kathmandu for New Delhi on Thursday leading a four-member delegation to take part in the meeting.



“We will discuss administration reforms and best governance practice in the region during the two-day meeting,” Ghimire told myrepublica.com before departing for New Delhi.



Foreign Secretary Dr Madan Bhattarai said that the cabinet secretaries of the region are going to discuss making service delivery effective besides discussing the problems of governance in the region.
