KATHMANDU, Jan 8: The Oli-led faction of the ruling Nepal Communist Party is organizing a mass gathering in Dhangadhi, the provincial headquarters of Sudurpaschim Province, on Friday.
This is the first time that the Oli-led faction is holding a mass assembly outside Kathmandu after the dissolution of the House of Representative.
Chairperson of the faction, KP Sharma Oli, who is also the prime minister, is flying to Dhangadhi to address the event this afternoon.
Following the dissolution of the HoR and announcement of midterm elections, various political parties and their sister organisations have been organizing demonstration protests across the country.
The Oli led-faction of NCP is backing the dissolution of the lower house while the rival faction led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Madhav Kumar Nepal is firmly opposing the government’s move.
Both the factions of the ruling NCP are now showing their strength by organising assemblies.
