MANDALA STREET FAIR 2009



To promote Sagarmatha Complex on Mandala Street, Thamel, the Mandala Street Fair started yesterday and will run through October 31. The major attractions at the fair are live mini demonstration of bungee jumping and canyoning by the officials of The Last Resort. During the demos, you can also win a free bungee, rafting or canyoning trip at The Last Resort on Bhote Koshi. Likewise, you sample different cuisines at the food stalls or at The Factory while Arniko Skateboards have put their Nepal-made fabrics and garments on sale; and you also get varieties of incenses and Ayurvedic health tips. In the meantime, not to miss would surely be the live performance of Newari music by Kutumba.



ACOUSTIC EVENING



What could be better than enjoying some scrumptious delicacies right before an acoustic musical night? Especially when it’s about a live performance by a prominent band like Mukti and Revival, it must not be missed. Organized by The Bakery Café in association with b&n, the acoustic Friday night will take place today at The Bakery Café, Pulchowk, from 6 pm onwards.

JICA brings you the Japanese way of makings things big and loud at Thamel Mall this Sunday. From Sushi roll to Teppanyaki, Kushiage to rolled cabbage and cakes and tempuras, there are many more at the fest to help yourself try authentic Japanese foods. You can also indulge yourself in the beads exhibited by Masala Beads, try some sexy salsa moves with your partners, or just stay chilled and enjoy Nepali dances and unlimited music.
