Rs 261m Saudi aid for city hall

NEPALGUNJ, Oct 24: Saudi Arabia has provided Rs 261.8 million to construct city hall and exhibition hall in Nepalgunj.



“The amount has already been deposited in the name of the Nepalgunj municipality,” said the president of Nepalgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industry Damodar Acharya. He said the Saudi government provided the amount as per a previous survey but the cost is estimated to have risen to around Rs 460 million now.



“We will soon start construction after an all-party meeting,” Acharya further said. The then Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supply has also provided one million rupees for the purpose.
