KATHMANDU, April 3: Ten individuals have been shortlisted for appointment to the post of vice chancellor (VC) of Mid-West University.

Those shortlisted candidates are Prof Dr Kabi Prasad Pokhrel, Prof Dr Keshar Singh Rana, Prof Dr Dev Bahadur Khadka, Prof Dr Dhruba Kumar Gautam, Prof Dr Nanda Bahadur Singh and Prof Dr Binay Kumar Mishra.

Prof Dr Bholanath Sharma Ghimire, Prof Dr Mukund Prasad Chhetri, Prof Dr Yam Bahadur Karki and Prof Dr Shobhkhar Kandel have also been shortlisted for the post, according to a notice issued by the Vice Chancellor Selection and Recommendation Committee.

It is said the Committee received 11 applications for the selection round and one application was rejected for not meeting the specified criteria. 

The shortlisted candidates have been asked to present a vision paper and a four-year professional work plan by April 9.  The post remains vacant since February 24 after the then Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Nanda Bahadur Singh's term ended.
