TANAHU, Jan 1: A 10-bed hospital under construction in Tanahun's Myagde Rural Municipality is 50 percent complete. The construction work of the 10-bed basic hospital building under construction in Myagde Rural Municipality-4 is half finished.
Chief Administrative Officer Narayan Prasad Adhikari said that the construction of the hospital building, which started on 16 May, 2021, is progressing rapidly. The contract for the construction of the building has been awarded to Rishi Shakti/Home Construction JV Company.

It is mentioned in the contract that the building should be completed by 24 May 2023. The total cost is Rs 105 million out of which Rs 73.4 million is spent for the contract through bidding. According to the federal government's decision to build a basic hospital in every local unit, the work of building the hospital has progressed, said Shri Prasad Shrestha, chairman of the rural municipality.
The hospital will have 23 posts including one medical officer, one nursing officer, four staff nurses, four Health Assistants (HA), two pharmacies. After the completion of the construction of the hospital, it is believed that the people of Myagde Rural Municipality will have access to basic health services. "The most important aspect of human life is health. In the context of the problems faced by the people of Myagde due to the lack of easy access to health services, we will emphasize on the operation of complex types of services with the opening of this hospital", said Chairman Shrestha.
