Youth leaders announce candidacy in NC election

KATHMANDU, Feb 25: As the date of Nepali Congress (NC) general election draws near, the youth leaders of the party have started announcing their candidacy for NC central committee member and other office-bearer positions back to back.

NC, the biggest political party in the Legislature-Parliament and now the major opposition, is going to organize its 13th general convention from March 3-5.Since the convention of various NC close sister organizations is long overdue, the youth leaders in the Party have started eyeing for various positions within the Party, including central committee member.

Towards this end, NC Lamjung Chapter leader Bishnu Prasad Dhital announced his candidacy for central committee member of the party.

At a press meet organized here today, Dhital believed that his candidacy would prove that youth are agent of change.

Earlier, NC Lalitpur chapter leader Ram Krishna Chitrakar, NC Tanahu Chapter leader Govinda Bhattarai, NC Dadeldhura chapter leader Keshav Singh, NC Saptari chapter Ranjit Karna and NC Okhaldhunga chapter leader Ramhari Khatiwada among others announced their candidacy for the same.
