Yadav rescued 3 days after abduction

LAHAN, July 4: After three days of abduction, Bal Govinda Yadav, an employee of Drinking Water and Sanitation Divisional Office (DWSDO), Siraha has finally been rescued by the police on Wednesday.



According to Ramjung Pandey, a police inspector at Thadi border outpost, a local of Bhagwanpur - 4 Chandreshowr Sah informed the police of Yadav´s whereabouts as soon as he spotted him under a bridge along the Khutauna -Mansapur road in Madhubani district of Bihar. [break]He was left under the bridge with his eyes covered and legs and hands tied with nylon rope



“He was crying out for help,” said Pandey quoting Sah as saying. Yadav was then taken to a primary health post in Khutauna for treatment.



“Yadav looked frightened and he began to cry when he saw Nepali policemen in the health post,” said Ajay Kumar, a policeman. “Nepal police and armed force had reached Khutauna to rescue Yadav,” he added.



According to Kumar, though there was no visible sign of Yadav being physically tortured, he might have been forced to consume drugs. “He fell unconscious time and again,” Kumar said.



Yadav was abducted on Sunday by an unidentified group while his wife in her statement to the police had accused DWSDO chief Adid Hussein of plotting his abduction.
