KATHMANDU, Oct 27: Nepal is currently under the influence of westerly winds coupled with a low-pressure system formed over the Arabian Sea, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM).
This afternoon, the hilly regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces are expected to experience generally partly cloudy conditions, while the plains are also likely to witness similar weather.
Westerly winds influence Nepal's weather
The DHM reported a possibility of light rain or snowfall at one or two places in the high hills and mountain regions of all provinces.
Tonight, the hilly areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim are expected to become mostly cloudy, whereas the remaining Terai regions will see partly cloudy skies.
The DHM’s weather bulletin further indicated chances of moderate rain or snowfall in some parts of the hilly and mountainous regions of Gandaki and Karnali provinces, and at one or two locations in other hilly and mountain areas, including Lumbini province.
