BARDIYA, Sept 23: The ward chairman of Barbardiya Municipality-3 died of COVID-19 on Wednesday.
Ward Chair Surya Bahadur Tharu breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Kohalpur Teaching Hospital, according to Mayor Durga Bahadur Tharu.

Tharu was diagnosed with typhoid ten days ago. He tested positive for the viral disease while he was undergoing primary treatment at Bheri Hospital. He was then shifted to Kohalpur Teaching Hospital for further treatment where he passed away.
