Similarly, a team each of Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force and host will also feature in the event to be played under league-cum-knockout format. The top three finishers of the tournament will walk home with purse of Rs 150,000, Rs 100,000 and Rs 50,000 respectively. The expected cost for the event is Rs 2.6 million.
KBRU football begins today
MORANG (REPUBLICA): Host PLO Sagarmatha Youth Club will take on Church Boys United in the opening match of the Fourth KBRU Kandangwa Memorial Invitational Gold Cup Football Tournament on Wednesday.
The match will be played at the proposed Indrapur Stadium of Birat Chowk. According to the host Sagarmath Youth Club, all the preparations for the tournament have been over. The tournament had been stalled since the last two editions. The tournament will feature eight teams from Nepal and India. Manang Marshyangdi Club, Armed Police Force and Jhapa XI will be among the A division outfits of Nepal to compete in the tournament.
The winner and the runner-up teams will bag purse of Rs 201,000 and Rs 101,000 respectively.
