KATHMANDU, June 12: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has said that all opposition parties in the federal parliament are united in their demand for the formation of a parliamentary probe committee to probe the alleged human trafficking under the guise of visit visas.
Acting Spokesperson of RSP, Manish Jha, said that this consensus was reached during the first round of talks held among the opposition parties on Tuesday. He said all opposition parties had reached a common understanding to end the exploitation of Nepali nationals, who are being lured abroad on visit visas and later stranded or abused.
“The conclusion of the first phase meeting held today is that all opposition parties represented in the federal parliament have agreed to form a parliamentary probe committee to permanently resolve the issue of human trafficking under visit visas,” said Jha.
RSP submits five-point proposal to probe visit visa case

There have long been concerns that organized trafficking networks in Nepal are misusing visit visas to illegally send citizens abroad, with suspicions of involvement from high-level officials.
This collective stance by opposition parties is expected to further intensify pressure on the government in the parliament.
