Not only Vesawkar and BK but also some cricket officials and media-persons watched their agony of the period once again on Tuesday. Cricket lover Surya Thapaliya has immortalized their hardship and comeback on silver screen in a documentary titled ´Beyond the Boundary´.
Film Himalayan premiered the documentary on Tuesday and celebrated the victory of Nepali team and contribution of Vesawkar and BK in the Division 5 tournament, held in Kathmandu in February. Nepal Tourism Board CEO Prachanda Man Shrestha and national team coach Roy Luke Dias unveiled the DVD of the documentary.
“I´m really excited and glad to be a Nepali cricketer,” said BK. “I´m happy to be a part of a significant project.” Vesawkar echoed.

In the 20-minute-long documentary, Vesawkar shows his fighting spirit and says, “There is nothing like last or lost.” Likewise, BK states his fighting mantra in the film, “It was a test of character”.
However, both of them know very well their real test of character will be in the Pepsi World Cricket League Division 4, scheduled to be held in Italy from August 14. “We´ll fire all cylinders and go for another historical moment,” said Vesawkar.
PrimeLife appoints Vesawkar as ambassador
PrimeLife Insurance appointed Sharad Vesawkar as its brand ambassador on Tuesday. PrimeLife CEO Resta Jha handed over a cricket bat with the company´s logo amidst the program organized to screen the documentary film ´Beyond the Boundary´, which features Vesawkar and Rahul BK.
According to Jha, Vesawkar will receive Rs 50,000 for promoting the company under the one-year contract. Vesawkar will also be featured in commercials of the company for which he will be paid additionally.
“We are talking this initiative to promote a talented cricketer and Nepali cricket. Other business groups also should step forward to promote Nepali sports,” said Jha.

CAN plans job to ex-cricketers
Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) President Binaya Raj Pandey said it would employ former cricketers to develop the game. Pandey, during the screening of the documentary on Tuesday, said that CAN was planning to create posts of ´development managers´ for ex-cricketers.
“Next year we will appoint at least eight development managers,” said Pandey. “We are probably not living up to the players´ expectations, but we seriously care for them,” added Pandey.
