Vacancy announced by PSC not proportional and inclusive: HoR members

KATHMANDU, June 6: Lawmakers have demanded annulment of recent vacancy announced by Public Service Commission, saying it was not proportional and inclusive. Speaking in zero hour of today’s meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR), they demanded response of the views put forth in the zero hour, saying the vacancy announced by PSC against the sentiment of the constitution should be scrapped.

KATHMANDU, June 6: Lawmakers have demanded annulment of recent vacancy announced by Public Service Commission, saying it was not proportional and inclusive. Speaking in zero hour of today’s meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR), they demanded response of the views put forth in the zero hour, saying the vacancy announced by PSC against the sentiment of the constitution should be scrapped.


The HoR members also drew the government’s attention to provide incentive allowance to employees working at the International Convention Centre as they have not got it for the past one year.

Expressing concern over arrears of the Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Administration, which reaches Rs 20.26 billion, they asked the government to pay attention to clear the arrears. Some lawmakers called for controlling elephant menace in Saptari district as 19 people lost their lives in attack by wild elephants in the district last year.


Drawing government’s attention were Gyanendra Kumar Karki, Hira Gurung, Sanjay Kumar Gautam, Sujata Pariyar, Sitadevi Yadav, Sarita Kumari Giri, Birodh Khatiwada, Gyan Kumari Chhantyal, Bimala Bishwokarma, Lalkaji Gurung and Laxmi Pariyar.
