US dollar falls, euro and pound rise

The US dollar's value dropped, while the European euro and British pound sterling increased on Thursday.

KATHMANDU, Jan 23: The US dollar's value dropped, while the European euro and British pound sterling increased on Thursday.


Today, banks are buying 1 US dollar at Rs 137.82 and selling it at Rs 138.42. On Wednesday, the buying rate was Rs 138.23, and the selling rate was Rs 138.83.

Similarly, banks are buying 1 euro today at Rs 143.96 and selling it at Rs 144.59. On Wednesday, the buying rate was Rs 143.06, and the selling rate was Rs 143.68.


For the pound sterling, today's buying rate is Rs 170.34, and the selling rate is Rs 171.08. Yesterday, banks bought 1 pound sterling at Rs 169.15 and sold it at Rs 169.89.
