KATHMANDU, April 22: The value of the US dollar, euro, and British pound sterling increased on Wednesday, according to the latest foreign exchange rates published by the central bank.
The buying rate of 1 US dollar stands at Rs 149.31, while the selling rate is Rs 149.91. On Tuesday, the buying rate was Rs 148.71 and the selling rate Rs 149.31.
Similarly, the buying rate of 1 euro has reached Rs 175.69, with the selling rate at Rs 176.39. The euro was valued at Rs 175.08 (buying) and Rs 175.78 (selling) on Tuesday.
The British pound sterling is being traded at Rs 201.84 for buying and Rs 202.66 for selling, up from Rs 201.08 and Rs 201.89 respectively the previous day.

Other currencies also saw fluctuations. The Swiss franc is priced at Rs 191.53 (buying) and Rs 192.30 (selling), while the Australian dollar stands at Rs 106.95 and Rs 107.38.
The Canadian dollar is valued at Rs 109.34 for buying and Rs 109.78 for selling, and the Singapore dollar at Rs 117.42 and Rs 117.90.
The Japanese yen (per 10 units) is at Rs 9.38 for buying and Rs 9.42 for selling. The Chinese yuan stands at Rs 21.91 and Rs 21.99 respectively.
Among Gulf currencies, the Saudi riyal is trading at Rs 39.81 (buying) and Rs 39.97 (selling), while the Qatari riyal is at Rs 40.96 and Rs 41.12. The Thai baht stands at Rs 4.66 and Rs 4.68.
The UAE dirham is at Rs 40.65 for buying and Rs 40.81 for selling, while the Malaysian ringgit is at Rs 37.79 and Rs 37.94.
The South Korean won (per 100 units) is valued at Rs 10.16 for buying and Rs 10.20 for selling. The Swedish krona stands at Rs 16.33 and Rs 16.39, and the Danish krone at Rs 23.51 and Rs 23.60.
The Hong Kong dollar is trading at Rs 19.07 for buying and Rs 19.14 for selling.
Among high-value Gulf currencies, the Kuwaiti dinar is priced at Rs 487.38 for buying and Rs 489.34 for selling, while the Bahraini dinar stands at Rs 395.89 and Rs 397.48. The Omani riyal is at Rs 387.81 and Rs 389.37.
