KATHMANDU, March 9: The number of Nepalis deported from the US in the current year has reached 38.
The number of Nepalis deported from the US had reached 35 with the return of eight people to Nepal on March 6. According to a report from the Department of Immigration, three more people have been deported since then.

After Donald Trump secured a second term as U.S. President, mass deportations of undocumented immigrants have intensified. On March 6 alone, eight Nepalis were flown back to Kathmandu in handcuffs on a chartered plane.
