KATHMANDU, May 7: A senior government official working at the Federal Parliament has died of COVID-19 infection.
According to officials at the Federal Parliament, Under Secretary Krishna Khanal died of COVID-19 on Friday morning. He had been working at the Law Section of the Parliament Secretariat since a few months ago.

Under Secretary Khanal had recently undergone surgical operation to remove stones in his kidney. He also had heart related ailments, according to family sources. His health condition had deteriorated further following the COVID-19 infection.
