Party chairman KP Sharma Oli in his statement on Tuesday said major political forces are against any delay in delivering constitution."Some of the elements are now trying to foil the ongoing constitution making process," Oli said at a press meet held at its head office in Kathmandu. "But, they do not have the strength to foil it. Rest assured the constitution will be delivered without further delay." He said that genuine public concerns over demarcation of provincial boundaries would be addressed.
"Adjustments to the boundaries can be made based on facts, necessity and practical grounds," he said.
"A section of people strongly raised the demand for delineation thinking the leadership would fail. But we have accomplished it. Now they have again started criticizing us on other pretexts," he said. "We can't halt the process because of protests by such groups."
Oli urged his party rank and file and other people to exercise restraint and refrain from any activity that might instigate communal hostility as the constitution making process has already entered the final stage.
Happy Constitution Day!
