CHITWAN, April 3: CPN-UML district chair Ram Prasad Neupane has registered his candidacy for the by-election.
He has registered his candidacy for the post of Member of the House of Representatives from Chitwan Constituency-2 for the by-election scheduled for April 23.

Former UML candidate Krishna Bhakta Pokharel and UML leader Bijay Subedi backed Neupane’s candidacy while CPN-UML politburo member Gokul Baskota seconded his candidacy.
After the nomination, Neupane said that his victory is certain. Stating that by-elections are not the desire of CPN-UML, he claimed that UML will win in this special situation.
He reached the Chief Electoral Officer's office in Bharatpur at 3:45 pm and registered his candidacy for the by-election.
