Issuing an appeal on Saturday, Pokharel instructed local party committees to prioritise public safety and to coordinate closely with relevant government agencies. He also called on the public to remain vigilant and to engage in disaster response with a spirit of solidarity and mutual support.
“In this time of crisis, every responsible citizen and our party structures must be at the forefront of protecting people. I urge everyone to be ready to extend immediate assistance and carry out rescue operations for those at risk from floods, landslides and inundation,” Pokharel said in his statement.
