UK PM's special envoy arriving

KATHMANDU, March 30: The British Prime Minister´s Special Representative for Peacebuilding, Jack McConnell, is arriving in Kathmandu on Thursday to gain a first hand perspective of the impact of the UK´s support to peace and development in Nepal.

During his three-day visit, McConnel will meet a cross-section of civil society, a wide range of political leaders and international donors based in Kathmandu.

He is bringing personal letters from British Prime Minister Gordon Brown to Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal and Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
