UCPNM to use social media for election campaign

KATHMANDU, July 23: The UCPN (Maoist) is mulling to take ahead the task of information and communications in a systematic fashion.



At a news conference on Tuesday, party spokesperson Agni Prasad Sapkota said maximum use of social media would be used targeting the upcoming CA elections. [break]



Sapkota said, "Facebook, You Tube, Twitter and blogs will be used in the publicity campaign."



He also said that mechanism of latest information technology would be used in the upcoming election instead of traditional publicity campaigns.



Saying that role o media persons was vital for making the CA election a success, Sapkota urged the media to equally treat all political parties and watch the election activities independently.
