URLABARI, Sept 2: A pedestrian died after being hit by a motorcycle along the East-West highway in Patharisanischare municipality-2 last night.
Uddav Mote,55, a resident of Terhathum died after being hit by the motorcycle (Ko. 3 Pa. 7909) heading towards the west. Seriously injured, Mote was declared dead upon arrival at the local Pathari hospital.

Meanwhile, in Kanchanpur, a constable of Armed Police, Harish Bhatta,32, died in a road accident near Kaluwapur in Shuklaphanta municipality-11 along the same highway last night.
Bhatta was riding a motorcycle (Se.2Pa. 9669) when he was hit by a van (Se. 1 Ja. 862) coming from the opposite direction, police said. Seriously injured, Bhatta was referred to India from the Attarariya Hospital and he died on the way.
A resident of Bhimdutta municipality-18, Bhatta was based at the Armed Police Battalion in Tikapur.
