Two injured in gun firing in Janakpur

JANAKPUR, Aug 21: Two people, including a teenager girl, were injured in a gun firing during a land-related dispute Machijhitakahiya VDC in Dhanusha district on Friday morning.



The victims have been identified as 14-year old Mamata Yadav and Nathuni Yadav, 45. Mamata and Nathuni, both from the same VDC, sustained bullet injuries on thigh and left hand respectively. They are being treated at Janakpur Hospital.



The firing followed a minor dispute over land in the village.



District Police Office said that local Fekan Yadav opened firing during the dispute. Police said they are yet to arrest Yadav who fled the scene to avoid possible arrest.
