PANCHTHAR, July 4: Two persons died and five others sustained injuries in a road accident in Athrai Rural Municipality in Tehrathum district on Friday night.
Lalit Khawas, 52, and 40-year-old Shyamlal Magar of Aathrai-4, Iwa lost their lives when a tractor (Me 1 Ta 6219) met with the accident at Chhatedhunga of Aathrai-5 along the Mid-hill Highway. They breathed their last on the way to hospital, according to Police Inspector Sheshakram Thandar, chief at Area Police Office, Aathrai.

The ill-fated tractor bound to Sakranti Bazaar from Chuhandanda was carrying laborers working for the construction of the Mid-hill Highway. The vehicle belongs to KG Construction Services.
The injured are undergoing treatment at the Panchthar District Hospital.
