BAGMATI, May 31: A truck driver died in a road accident at the Baguwa River in Makwanpur along the Kanti Highway on Friday night.
Madhav Kafle, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Makwanpur, said the truck, which was transporting construction materials for the Bagmati Hydropower Project in Lalitpur from Hetauda, met with an accident, killing the driver.

The deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Dal Bahadur Bartaula, a resident of Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-3.
According to police, the truck plunged into the river. Bartaula was found dead, trapped in his seat inside the vehicle, while the conductor escaped by jumping out of the cabin.
