Triton beat CCRC by five wickets in the first semifinal match while National Campus hammered Himalayan White House by eight wickets in the other at Tundikhel.
In the first semifinal, CCRC could manage just 107/9 in the allotted 20 overs after electing to bat first. Susan Poudel made 20 off 26 balls while No 10 Binit Satyal remained unbeaten on a breezy 30 off just 16 balls. Satyal hammered a couple of fours and two towering sixes to take CCRC past the hundred mark but that did not prove enough for Triton.
Man-of-the-match Ritesh Singh took two wickets for Triton and then returned to score unbeaten 12 off just eight balls to guide Triton home in company of Indra Kamal Manandhar who remained unbeaten on 22 off 15. Opener Robin Joshi also made 20 off 21 as National Campus achieved the victory target in 18.2 overs.
In the second semifinal, National Campus restricted White House, which opted to bat first, to 102/9 in 20 overs. Opener Suman Saud made 39 off 38 with five fours to give a rousing start but White House was pegged back by Subendu Pandey who took four wickets giving away just 11 runs in his four-over spell. Sandeep Shrestha also bagged a couple of wickets for National Campus.
Chasing 103 for victory, National Campus raced to victory in just 12.2 overs losing two wickets with man-of-the-match Sandeep Shrestha and Prajwal Pandey adding 59 runs in the unbroken third-wicket stand after openers Rupesh Sharma (4 off 6)and Subendu Pandey (8 off 10) fell cheaply. Shrestha made 44 off 31 including nine fours while Pandey scored 26 off 27 with six boundaries.
