JUMLA, March 12: Transport Entrepreneurs Association, Karnali is increasing public transport fare by nine percent with effect from Thursday.

Nanda Prasad Chaulagain, vice-president of the association, said frequent disruption in Karnali Highway and increasing diesel price left them with no option but to hike fare. We are raising the fare as per the decision of our central committee, said Chaulagain, adding that the association has not increased fare since 2005. [break]
