Toxic mushroom claims 3 in Dailekh

DAILEKH, Sept 17: Three persons of a family have died and another is in critical condition after consuming toxic mushrooms in Dailekh on Sunday.



The deceased have been identified as Man Bahadur Gurung, 66, and his daughter-in-law Nirmala Gurung, 27, of Salleri-2. They died during the course of treatment at a hospital in Lucknow, India.



Man Bahadur’s daughter Man Kumari, 23, died while being rushed to a Surkhet based hospital earlier while his son Ambar, 27, has been undergoing treatment at Bheri Zonal Hospital, Nepalgunj.



He is in a critical condition, Gurung’s relative Bal Krishna Chalise informed. “He has been brought to Nepalgunj from Lucknow for further treatment,” Chalise said.
