Those killed have been identified as 23-year-old Anil Ranabhat, 45-year-old Rajan Ranabhat and 42-year-old Resham Ranabhat.
Rajan´s 14-year-old son Ashmit was injured. Ashmit, who sustained minor injuries, is being treated at Ratnahari Memorial Hospital in Damauli. Krishna Ranabhat, an eyewitness, said the driver of the bus lost control after its plates broke.
The over-speeding bus crashed into a roadside tree before hitting the four people.
