According to ministry sources, Minister Pant had expected the teacher leaders to come to the ministry for talks early in the morning. As per this expectation, he had been prepared at the ministry since the morning, as informed by an official.

Minister Pant had understood that the discussions held late Monday night had been positive, and the teachers had left with the intention of reaching a conclusion through further talks on Tuesday. However, the official mentioned that, as of now, the teachers have not yet arrived at the ministry.

“The talks held late last night were close to reaching an agreement. The teachers themselves had said they would meet on Tuesday to finalize the matter,” said the official, “However, so far, there has been no sign of them. Nevertheless, the minister is waiting, as he wishes to create an environment that will allow the teachers to return to school, even if the talks are held late tonight.”
