Suzuki Baleno set for April launch

KATHMANDU, March 20: CG MotoCorp, the authorized distributor of Suzuki four-wheelers for Nepal, is launching Baleno -- a premium hatchback from Suzuki stable -- in the Nepali market in April.

A senior official of the company confirmed that the Baleno hatchback will hit Nepali roads next month. "We are preparing roll out Baleno hatchback in Nepal by April end," the officials told Republica.Baleno was launched in India in October last year.

According to the company, the new Baleno hatchback comes with powerful stance, iconic body and innovative features. "Its 'Liquid Flow' design flows harmoniously and combines with the efficient performance of the hatchback," the company added.

Suzuki Baleno comes with 1.2 Ltr VVT K12 engine paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. It delivers maximum power of 84.2 PS at 6000 rpm and maximum torque of 115 Nm at 4000 rpm. "It has a best in-class features including Apple Car Play, an initiative in car entertainment system. Similarly, the hatchback incorporates advanced safety features including dual airbags and ABS. Baleno also has segment-best large cabin and boot space ensuring comfort," said the company.

Other features in Baleno includes keyless entry, steering mounted control, Bluetooth, voice command, engine start stop button, parking sensor with camera, pinch guard power window and automatic air conditioning..

The five-seater Baleno has 2,520 mm wheelbase and 170 mm ground clearance capacity. The company claims that Baleno, which has 37 liters fuel tank capacity, gives mileage of 21.4 km per liter.
