KATHMANDU, Dec 18: The Startup Summit Nepal 2024 concluded in Kathmandu, bringing together policymakers, entrepreneurs, investors, and thought leaders to discuss the future of Nepal's startup ecosystem. Organized by The Startup Network (Nepal) and PHDCCI (India-Nepal Centre), the event was held at Hotel Aloft and featured a range of sessions, including panel discussions and a startup pitching contest.
The summit, inaugurated by Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Devendra Dahal, highlighted the barriers and opportunities for Nepal’s entrepreneurial landscape.
Startup Summit in June
In four thematic panel discussions of the program, experts addressed critical issues such as regulatory challenges for startups, India-Nepal cooperation in innovation, renewable energy solutions, and strategies to retain Nepali talent.
The event concluded with a startup pitching contest, where Taximandu was named the Best Startup of the Year 2024, securing a cash prize of Rs 30,000. The Startup Summit Nepal 2024 reaffirmed its role as a vital platform for policy dialogue and collaboration to strengthen Nepal's entrepreneurial ecosystem.
