Sandip Tandukar (right), and Chewant Gurung are two 25-year-olds who have shared the bond of friendship since their school days. Though they parted ways after graduating from high school, their passion for cooking brought them together again.

Now, the duo runs a food cart, Haku’s Thela, in Sigal. Their decision to join forces came after each of them had to go through personal hardships. Tandukar’s bitter experiences of working in China, as a waiter, compelled him to return to Nepal. While, Gurung, ailing from epilepsy, could neither persue his studies or do well professionally. However, their united venture has given the duo every reason to hope for a better future.
