Nepal Censor Board granted a PG certificate for the film on Saturday itself and Director Subarna Thapa also announced that it will be screened at the upcoming Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival (KIMFF).[break]
Two soundtracks from the film were also released at the program. Politician and head of the Blue Diamond Society, Sunil Babu Pant, called the film ‘a delicate and sensitive portrayal of Nepali society and its perspective towards homosexual relationship’.
Chief guest Nir Shah credited Thapa for diverting the direction of Nepali cinema towards a productive path. “I wish I was 16 again, I would be a lot more satisfied to witness the contribution this film has made for the future of Nepali cinema. I appreciate Thapa’s principles of filmmaking. It is not about what kind of relationship this film depicts but its reflection of human sensitivity,” said Shah.
