Singh takes lead as 250 votes counted for NC CWC members

KATHMANDU, March 10: Prakashman Singh is leading with 154 votes in the race for Central Working Committee (CWC) members of Nepali Congress (NC) under the open category as 250 votes have been counted till 2 pm on Thursday afternoon.

Khum Bahadur Khadka is second receiving 153 votes, while Pradip Giri and Pradip Poduel are third with equal 145 votes.

Likewise, Dr Sekhar Koirala has received 144 votes, Bimalendra Nidi 142 votes and KB Gurung has garnered 138 votes.

Vote counting to elect 25 central members had resumed on Thursday morning. The election committee of NC had postponed the counting till today after counting 150 votes on Wednesday evening.

Likewise, the NC election committee has also begun vote counting for CWC members under Muslim category.
